DAVID HOCKNEY AT THE CENTER POMPIDOU

Until October 23, 2017, discover the largest retrospective dedicated to David Hockney. More than 160 works retrace the career of this singular artist.
In 1964, he discovered the west coast of the United States and moved towards a solar painting reflecting Californian hedonism and of which his "Bigger Splash" of 1967 became its icon. He then worked a lot around the universe of the swimming pool with photos and his "stain color field", in a series of works on paper illustrating the water of a swimming pool subjected to day and night lighting.
