Summer interview #11: Maxime, co-founder of Papier Tigre

Hello Maxime, can you introduce yourself in a few words?

Hey, hi, I'm Maxime, I founded the stationery brand Papier Tigre with my partner Julien, which is the first in France to dust off the world of stationery.

What was your last trip?
I'm just at the airport where I take time in front of my computer before isolating myself for 13 hours to reach Tokyo.

Do you have a secret address to reveal to us?

Oh yes, but if I reveal it to you, it won't be secret anymore, will it?

What is the secret of a successful vacation for you?
Being at the right time, in the right place, with the right people. It's a clever mix that when well dosed is a winner every time.

On vacation, rather idleness or are you on the move?

Holala, downright idleness.

Rather sea or swimming pool?
Sea without hesitation, with a big preference for the ocean :-)

The ideal dinner?
A bit like on vacation, the ideal dinner is the right people in the right place at the right time.
 
The aperitif that smells like the holidays?
The Gin To' but does that mean that it smells like holidays all year round?

What are your summer suitcase essentials?
Two swimsuits, t-shirts, sunglasses and that's it!

What does the holiday smell like?

A small plant found near the ocean and at the entrance to the Jardin des Plantes in Paris, it smells of summer and the dunes: I never knew its name, it's very mysterious.

In my bed, for a day, then at the beach, Pacific side in Mexico for a week. Then it will be better.

In California and Arizona, in search of clichés of excessive America and the heat of the desert.
